Spring is my favorite season in the Bay Area. After the dramatic atmospheric rivers of winter the hills turn neon green, and it takes considerable willpower to resist leaving my desk to go frolic on a hillside. Even in San Francisco, where the rolling hills are more often covered with cars than flowers, spring just adds that extra sweetness to the air. My favorite seasonal stop in the city is the SF Botanical Garden, where flowers from around the world bloom throughout the season. I wasn’t surprised to hear that Theresa Vaillancourt, the hotel concierge I interviewed for “Concierge Corner” this month, also counted it among her top spring activities in the city. Wherever you’re at in the Bay Area, read on to get more intel on the best things to do this April.
