San Francisco’s art world is rich with world-class art institutions, from SFMOMA to the DeYoung to the Legion of Honor. But if someone asked me where to visit, I’d recommend the Asian Art Museum. Why? For one thing, it’s one of only a few art museums in the country devoted solely to Asian art. But secondly, it’s something unique to San Francisco — a representation of the city’s Asian heritage, housed in a historic library building. We recently checked out the museum’s fun and fabulous Hallyu! exhibit — encapsulating the wave of Korean culture that has become a global phenomenon. Don't miss this, or any of the museum's extensive collections.
