“I moved to Lake Tahoe for the winters, but I stayed for the summers.” Ask a local, aka transplant, and that’s the story you might hear. It’s really about the weather. Winters with major snowfalls and then 40-degree days to play in the snow, and summers that are cool at night and not usually uncomfortably hot and humid during the day. Lake Tahoe is an amazing outdoor playground. I’ve had the luck of traveling for work and play and there are places I love to explore – Hello, Europe – but there’s something about coming home and catching the first glimpse of the big blue lake that just feels right.
Tahoe also offers almost every outdoor adventure you can dream up (like California’s first underwater scuba diver trail in Emerald Bay State Park). From exploring Truckee to South Lake Tahoe, and everything in between, I’m here to help make sure you get all the good stuff.
