As a UC Santa Cruz alumni, I know how nice it is to spend summers in Santa Cruz. Whether it was hanging out on the beach, grabbing cheap burritos downtown, hikes in the forest or catching a show at the Rio Theatre, there was never a lack of things to do in this beautiful and quirky county. I also spent many childhood summers with family here, walking along Seacliff Beach listening to sea lions bark under the cement ship. Today, not much has changed, other than the S.S.
