Part of the fun of IYKYK is that some who read it don’t — you know — know what it means to begin with. And part of the beauty of our Monterey insider tips list is that you didn’t have to know anything, acronyms or topographic maps or local dog permitting laws to get instant insider angles on many of my favorite spots. These have been compiled across several decades of living, exploring, eating, drinking and hiking throughout the area. But that wouldn’t have been enough to crystallize this list. It took traveling far and beyond to better appreciate what we have here, you know?
